Snow on Alice ridge

Nikkor 28mm f/2.8 Ai

“The whole place was so fairylike, so mysterious and so enchantingly beautiful we would name the four lakes Hansel, Gretel, Andersen and Grimm. The valley itself we called Fairy-Tale Valley, and the two rocky ridges Cinderella and Alice ridgdes. The plain into our fairy-tale valley detouched we called Peter Pan Plain; and the two ugly fissured peaks in the Alice Ridge we name Tweedledum and Tweedledee after Tenniel’s two handsome lad in Alice in Wonderland” – Heinrich Harrer, Came From Stone Age, 1964.
